A touch of Japan in Los Cabos
Los Cabos is no doubt a destination that continues to lure some of the most well-known hotel brands in the world. The new Nobu Hotel, located on the still unspoiled Baja California Sur peninsula, is no exception to this, and on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019, it opened its doors to connoisseurs of fine traveling wishing to experience the best in hotel accommodations and leisure experiences.
The co-founders of Nobu Hotel, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro and film producer Meir Teper, carried out the official ribbon cutting ceremony of Nobu Hotel Los Cabos with a sake ceremony and a showy grand opening event, fireworks and all.
Like any upscale resort worth its saffron-flavored panko, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos will make you feel as if you were the only guest in the premises. The hotel, which has 200 guest rooms and suites, also features a luxurious spa, spacious meeting spaces and conference halls, classy shopping venues, a number of infinity pools, and a variety of bars and fine dining, including a Nobu restaurant close to the ocean, where guests can enjoy the views on end while enjoying an incredible culinary experience.
The new Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is featured as the perfect place for those seeking posh settings for their next escapade. Inspired by the relaxed style of Los Cabos, Nobu Hotel becomes the first property of the brand in Mexico that displays a perfect combination of contemporary Japanese minimalism with locally obtained materials and natural finishes. Custom-made furniture, wooden bathtubs, and other elements used for accent, constitute a very accurate resemblance to Japanese styles and traditions. There are, however, some Mexican pieces of artwork, hues and elements discreetly scattered here and there to remind you what part of the world you actually happen to be in.
The group’s first hotel in Mexico is surrounded by the famed Diamante, with courses designed by golf luminaries Tiger Woods and Davis Love III. All in all, Nobu Hotel has given world-class trendy stylishness to a destination far and wide already admired for its natural beauty, wildlife, culture and secluded exclusivity.
